Jeanell Austin
Regional Vice-President, Mid-Atlantic Region

Jeanell Austin joined NCPPO in July 2007. She oversees Network Development and Network Services. Over the course of her career in managed care operations, Jeanell has worked with Prime Health, in Kansas City, MO, as OB Gyn Nurse Practitioner and Regional Manager, Medical Center Operations. After Prime Health was acquired by Humana, she moved to Network Development, serving as Associate Executive Director for Humana-Missouri and Kansas. Immediately prior to her position at NCPPO, Jeanell was Vice President, Network Development for MVP Health Care in upstate New York.

Jeanell is a Board Member of WBL, Women Business Leaders of U.S. Healthcare Industry Foundation and a mentor for AHIP’s Minority Management Development Program. In addition, she has a Certified Managed Care Executive designation from AHIP and has been a guest lecturer on topics including Health Care Finance, Network Development and Contracting Strategies and Leadership. She earned her MBA at Rockhurst College.

Brenda Faust-Thomas
Director, Network Management

Brenda Faust-Thomas joined NCPPO in August 2000. She has 10 plus years of experience in Operations Management, System Integration, Planning and Strategic Management and Provider Relations with various companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ (Horizon), Principal Health Care and Mid-Atlantic Medical Services Inc. Her current responsibilities include Network Services Operations and services including network development, contract management, network support, network analysis and provider relations. She earned her degree from Seton Hall University.

Kathleen Chandra
Manager, Analysis and Support

Kathleen Chandra has been NCPPO’s finance manager since 1998. Prior to joining the company, she served as controller for a radiology practice and has worked in numerous capacities in the fields of commercial banking and accounting/finance. Kathleen earned a gold certificate award for achieving the highest grade on her Nebraska CPA exam. She holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland.
